Also, not sure how well it will be timed to connect with the 183 and 185 at Marsden (no timetable available yet), but it might miss the 2140 185 to Huddersfield by around 5-10 minutes, meaning the next connection would be the 2222 183 service. Assuming the 184 returns from Marsden to Oldham at around 2200, the closest arrival from Huddersfield would be the 2100 185 from Huddersfield arriving at 2125 (2145 departure on the 183 arrives at 2214). Probably means anyone wanting to travel between Huddersfield and Oldham after 2000 will have a 35-40 minute wait in Marsden in either direction. Suspect that the jny to/from Marsden is more about TfGM wanting to run an evening jny to Diggle and being able to turn the bus around safely (think the Old Station Turning in Diggle is now impractical to use) rather than providing an evening jny between Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire. | y | ||||||

Not sure on where the bus will turn around (probably a loop around Fall Lane, Carrs Road and Peel Street to terminate at stop M2 rather than Hard End or Dirker). Also, not sure how well it will be timed to connect with the 183 and 185 at Marsden (no timetable available yet), but it might miss the 2140 185 to Huddersfield by around 5-10 minutes, meaning the next connection would be the 2222 183 service. Assuming the 184 returns from Marsden to Oldham at around 2200, the closest arrival from Huddersfield would be the 2100 185 from Huddersfield arriving at 2125 (2145 departure on the 183 arrives at 2214). Probably means anyone wanting to travel between Huddersfield and Oldham after 2000 will have a 35-40 minute wait in Marsden in either direction. Suspect that the jny to/from Marsden is more about TfGM wanting to run an evening jny to Diggle and being able to turn the bus around safely (think the Old Station Turning in Diggle is now impractical to use) rather than providing an evening jny between Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire. | |||||||
